The Western Speleological Institute (W.S.I.) was organized in the early 1950s through the efforts of staff at the Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History. This collection consists of materials related to expedition discoveries and are manifest in various notes and maps. Sites are located in Coconino and Yavapai counties, as well as the Grand Canyon region.
